Soft-touch finishes are the fastest-growing part of the silicone leather range, and the four options are easy to confuse in a photograph. They differ in nap, in body and in what the reverse looks like — and those differences decide which one belongs on a given product.
The surface reads as suede but does not absorb. Water beads and stains lift with a tissue, which is the point: it delivers the finish people want without the cleaning regime they dread. Best for seating, headboards and bags where appearance matters and spills happen. See suede silicone leather.
Brushed on both sides, so the reverse can be left visible on unlined covers, throws and removable seating. More body than a film-backed sheet, warmer in the hand, and comfortable against skin. See double-sided fleece silicone leather.
A dense brushed backing that gives the material the weight and recovery of a substantial hide, without adding a separate foam layer. Press it and it springs back. The choice for shaped upholstery and premium seating. See cattle fibre fleece silicone leather.
A fine, warm, low-sheen grain that does not read as a coating. It is specified when the surface will be touched constantly and appearance has to hold: seating, interior panels, accessories. See cashmere-feel silicone leather.
Hand feel does not survive a screen. Request swatches of the two or three surfaces you are considering and compare them under your own lighting, on the actual frame if possible. Colour and nap are confirmed from physical samples, not from images.
