Construction
A silicone face is applied to a polyester (PET) film. The film does not absorb moisture and does not swell, so the sheet stays flat in changing humidity — a practical advantage over paper-backed or fabric-backed materials in flat-panel and wrap applications.
Surface and handling
The sample shown is a tan, fine-grain surface. PET-backed silicone leather is easy to cut to a template, holds a clean edge and can be laminated or adhered to rigid substrates. Because the backing is thin, it conforms to gentle curves but is not intended for deep draw or heavy pleating.
